The picture shows marble slabs showing exact places where US Army cavalrymen, led by Lieutenant Colonel George Custer, were killed during the Battle of Little Bighorn. In this battle, fought on June 25, 1876, none of the soldiers of the leading units sent to the battle against the North American Indians survived.
